My Story
John Tar is an American rock solo artist based in Colorado with musical influences in hard-rock, punk, classical and metal. All music is composed, performed and recorded by John Tar in a small studio dungeon in his basement. Help with mixing and mastering was provided by Colin Mahoney in Boulder, CO
John Tar is the former singer/guitarist for the punk/hard-rock band Shryman, which featured two tracks on the extreme mountain biking video "Lights Out," which was distributed worldwide.
John Tar's current project, "In the Absence of Color," is a mix of melodic singing, strings and guitar combined with a hard hitting rhythm section.
